Ponderay Police Officer Steve
Maurer Passed
away Thursday,
02/11/10, after fighting hard to
beat cancer.
Steve retired from the Sandpoint
Police Department in 2006 after
serving that community for 25
years. He had been serving the
residents of Ponderay since
2008.
There will be a benefit
and auction on Friday March 5th,
2010
at the
Ponderay Event Center. It will
include a chili feed (donations
requested), raffle, silent auction, and
live auction. Doors will open at 5:00pm
with dinner starting at 6:00pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the Ponderay
Police Department, Sandpoint Police
Department, Priest River Police
Department, and Bonner County Sheriff’s
Office.
Tickets are $5.00 each or five
for $20.00. |

Fishing and Hunting
are some
major activities in Clark Fork, some of
the big game animals here are: elk,
whitetail deer, mule deer, black bear,
and cougar. For fishing you will find
large mouth bass, small mouth bass,
northern pike, rainbow trout, cutthroat
trout, bull trout, brown trout, and
variety of perch and sunfish.
